Adda Café: Taste of India in Manama

Adda Café: Taste of India in Manama

Located in Segaya Walk of Manama, Adda Café offers a journey through the flavors of India. As the name suggests, “adda” is a Hindi word that embodies the essence of gathering, reflecting the welcoming atmosphere of the café.

During a recent visit, the Social Team had the pleasure of sampling a variety of dishes. We started with their classic chais, served with a choice of adrak (ginger) or masala, with just the right balance of sweetness and spice.

Next up was the Vada Pav, a beloved street food consisting of a potato-filled bun served with ghati masala, a flavorful red garlic spice blend. The crispy Onion Pakora was the star which was accompanied by spicy green chutney, offering a crunch with every bite.

Moving on to the mains, the Paneer Sandwich, featuring perfectly spiced paneer between slices of bread. The Bruschetta provided a refreshing respite from the spiciness, with its light and tangy tomato topping.

For pasta lovers, the Pinky Pink Pasta didn’t hit the spot, and was just like your average homemade pasta. The Mexican Maggi, although contained a lot of veggies, offered a comforting hug in a flavorful bowl of noodles.

We couldn’t resist trying the Paneer Pizza, which tasted like homemade pizza dough topped with flavorful paneer. And to finish off our meal, we savored the Deep-Fried Ice Cream, covered  in a crispy cornflake batter that added a satisfying crunch to every spoonful.
