Ali AlHawaj’s artistic journey began in school, a common starting point for many. He reflects, “I started a long time back when I was in school. Most of us find our interests during those years” Ali’s artwork tells the story of his life, from early school sketches to vibrant watercolors and recent experiments with acrylic paintings. “I’m still figuring out my style; it’s a journey of self-discovery, trying to find what clicks for me.”
Life’s Color Palette: Aviation to Art
Ali’s life takes unexpected turns, much like strokes on a canvas. His venture into aviation adds unique colors to his palette. Retirement becomes a crucial chapter, allowing Ali to rediscover the joy of painting. As he puts it, “I started taking my art more seriously two, three years back because I now have the time after retiring.”
Passionate Advice
Ali’s advice for young artists is wise: “If you have a real passion and enjoy what you’re doing, you will be recognized for your talent, it may take time but as long as you’re true to yourself and understand it’s the journey not the destination, you have succeeded.”
He advises against creating art for external validation, saying it leads to losing the essence of personal expression. Keep your artistic journey true to yourself.
