It’s back! Bigger, Bolder, and Brighter than ever before, the BIC held the 5th anniversary of Bahrain Comic Con this weekend, from 26-27 April 2024.
Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the General Sports Authority, the convention attracted pop culture fanatics, cosplayers and gamers alike.
The star studded event featured a lineup of 9 celebrities, including:
- Eren Yeager’s VA, Yuki Kaji
- Former Footballer, John Terry
- Mercy from Overwatch’s VA, Lucie Pohl
In addition, the event featured many cosplayers, including Anya Dogari, Spizy Camilla, Miss Universe Bahrain’s Lujane Yacoub, Reem Haji, Faisal Mohammad, Noami, Hussain Darwish, Froot, Erin, respectively. Their creativity knows no bounds, bringing each character to life by the effort they put it to make everything look just right.
Cosplay judge, Lujane Yacoub, had this to say about the event:
“5 years of Bahrain Comic Con! As a fan of all things pop culture, I was excited to attend and ecstatic to have the opportunity to be a cosplay competition judge this year. My favorite thing about Bahrain Comic Con is the community; everyone is eager to connect, share their fandoms and support each other. Already counting the days until Bahrain Comic Con 2025!”
The gamer hall featured tournaments for Valorant, Rocket League, Overwatch and many more.
This year also featured the largest Artist Alley yet, where 51 local artists come together to sell their creations in a marketplace environment.
Kudos to Dallah Promotions for organizing the best edition of Comic Con yet, we can’t wait for the next one.
