Always on the look out for something new to review for our readers, the Social
Team stumbled up Broken Breads on Instagram and decided to give them a try.
Broken Breads have been around for the last two years and have quickly made a
name for themselves for freshly baked breads, pastries, cakes, pies and tarts.
With our curiosity peaked, we decided to order some freshly baked goodies.
The menu has plenty of options, such as 13 different items of breads, ranging
from olive bread, banana bread to keto buns.
After going through the many options, we decided to order pretzels and the
scones.
Ordering was simple and straightforward. Order at least one day in advance, via
WhatsApp, make the payment to confirm the order, once confirmed, the order is
ready for pick up or delivery.
Order placed, payment made, we were on our way to pick up the items. And we
were not disappointed.
Both items were fresh – out of the oven fresh, perfectly timed for our pick up slot.
Portion sizes are really good, so there’s plenty to go around, or not – if you’re not
inclined to share.
The pretzels were warm and soft with crunchy salt flakes that made them even
more delicious. The scones were perfectly baked, not heavy or dry and served
with a side of jam. We would have loved some fresh clotted cream on the side but
maybe we should have asked for that as extra.
All in all it was the perfect comfort food, like a big hug from mum when you’re
feeling a little down. Accompanied with your favourite tea or coffee, both the
pretzels and scones hit the spot.
