With the launch of the much-anticipated final season of Afterlife, starring Ricky Gervais, Netflix has installed 25 benches in parks across the UK to promote healthy conversations around mental health.
This collaboration is with Netflix and the suicide prevention charity Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM).
The benches installed in Nottingham have been engraved with a quote from the show “Hope is Everything“.
Ricky Gervais, the creator of shows including The Office and Extras, said: “We hope the benches will create a lasting legacy for After Life, as well as become a place for people to visit. Calm chief executive Simon Gunning said: “Park benches provide opportunities to reflect, talk to someone, sit shoulder to shoulder with someone, and get things off your chest.”
