Whoever says there’s no place to eat in Seef that’s not a takeout or a 5 star hotel,
need to have a sit down with us, preferably at Slido Restaurant Seef.
The high-rise office community of Seef District, now have an additional option,
that is not one extreme of a 5 star hotel to the other extreme of a sad looking
food truck.
Located in the new complex opposite Seef Mall is Slido Restaurant, offering
burgers, sandwiches, wings, salads and so much more.
With a stone throws distance from our office, the Social team had to investigate.
So off we went, to grab a mid week lunch at Slido.
An instant escape from the office, Slido is a minimalist restaurant, tastefully
decorated, with ample of comfortable seating, plenty of sunlight and a modern
clean look, offering the perfect downtime while you enjoy a quiet but delicious
lunch.
The menu has plenty of options and definitely not limited; just the burgers alone
have eleven different varieties.
We ordered Shrimpo – deep fried shrimps, Slido Burger – soft burger buns, cut
and seared in half, and Sriracha Slido – crispy chicken with cabbage and carrot
salad and sriracha sauce.
Each dish was delicious: the Shrimpo was a good portion size of hot and tangy
juicy shrimps with a cool ranch style dip. The Slido burger was made with the
softest buns and juicy well-seasoned beef patties, cut into half and seared for
extra perfection. Our Sriracha Slido was loaded with a big piece of crispy chicken
and fresh red cabbage and carrot slaw topped with cheese and a generous
helping of srircaha sauce. The food did not disappoint, the buns were fresh, the
chicken stayed crispy until the last bite, and portion sizes were extremely
generous.
Another great aspect is the great customer service: friendly and efficient, what
more do you want on a quick one-hour lunch break or a post work quick dinner
before heading home?
If a quick one hour lunch or dinner isn’t your thing, then you can come by later,
way later and stay until midnight or even 2am on the weekends and if the
weather permits, opt for their outdoor seating.
All in all, we’d like to call this our little gem in Seef and our new go-to spot for
lunch, dinner or a hang out with friends. If you see us there, pull up a chair and
join us. We’ll be the ones feasting on the Shrimpo.
